Please join us for Coffee Hour in the Parish Hall following both services.  Today we are celebrating Mothers and thanking Deacon Dan Herron who is retiring.

Altar Flowers are given today by Ruby Seyffert in memory of her daughter Nanci Ahern.

ECW invites all women in the congregation to take a pink carnation when leaving the service today.

We encourage everyone to wear red next Sunday to celebrate the Day of Pentecost!

Adult Formation is at 9:15 a.m.  We continue a teaching on Praying with Women of the Bible led by parishioner Dr. Roberta Meehan specifically discussing Old Testament women: Sarah, Hagar, Miriam and Deborah. Roberta is a retired biology professor who holds a doctorate of ministry degree. This book by Bridget Mary Meehan (no relation) is available on Amazon. Choir practice is at 11:45 a.m.

Each summer we schedule a few outings for those who are still in the Valley. Please send Fr. Bob your suggestions for places to visit.

May Birthdays will be celebrated next Sunday, May 20.  If you have a May birthday and it is not on the list in the narthex, please add it.

A Million thanks to all who contributed to the Million Meals program in support of the United Food Bank/AZBrain/Food Backpack program. This program provides weekly food for public school students whose families do not have enough food to feed them. Your generous support has enabled us to provide 100 backpacks sufficient for the student and their family over a weekend.

Thank you to all who so generously donated to the ECW Hug-A-Bear project. The bears will be given to Hospice of the Valley and other facilities. We will have a Blessing of the Bears at a later date. Linda Jo Johnson is making a crocheted neck wrap for each one.

Reaching out to our Members-Please notify the office if you know of someone who needs to receive a card, phone call or a visit for any reason.

Walking on Wednesday will begin at 7:30 a.m. to beat the heat. In April we walked over 1,500 miles.

The second quarter edition of Transfiguration Newsletter is available in the narthex. Once again thank you to Joan Crossman and Jan Saik for their work. You may also pick up a current Transfiguration directory in the back of the church.

The Vestry would like to encourage people with questions to call Miriam Waddington, contact person for this month. Her phone number is 559-707-5810.

ECW is continuing to support children and teachers at Brinton Elementary School with donations of Kleenex and anti-bacterial wipes.

We are so thankful for the recent visit of John Christopher and his presentation on addiction. Our parishioner, Barbara Turner (602-430-6306), is willing to have a confidential discussion with anyone who wishes to discuss issues of addiction.

Food Bank suggestions for next week: canned vegetables, instant potatoes, rice.
